Arni Arnthorsson is a native of Iceland. He received his Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of South Carolina in 1996. He has taught in Chicago, Lugano Switzerland, The Cayman Islands, and is now a faculty coordinator and Associate Professor for The Center for Accelerated and Professional Studies at Becker College in Worcester, MA. Dr. Arnthorsson has received many accolades for his teaching and service including The Above and Beyond Award for outstanding service to students at the University of St. Francis where he was also a finalist for Teacher of the Year Award. Dr. Arnthorsson was the first Non-African-American advisor of the Black Student Union at St. Francis and after an initial rejection from the University helped the Latino students create their student union at St. Francis as well. Dr. Arnthorsson created courses using student travel throughout Europe and has taken more than 150 students to countries such as Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Holland, England, Denmark, and Iceland. Dr. Arnthorsson has served on the Board of Big Brother Big Sister in Illinois as well as various educational boards. He has worked with many charities assisting them in creating promotional tools and giving workshops on fundraising and membership drives. Dr. Arnthorsson has throughout his career consulted on various topics such as research, cultural training, communication skills, pricing, customer service, and promotion. His focus in the last few years has been on communication among diverse groups, and intercultural training and communication.
